Good morning, Dollygirl.
I really like woodland wild flowers, too. My favorite (besides the violet) is trilliums. While they just covered the floor of the woods in Wisconsin, they are nowhere to be seen down here in AL. So I planted some. Now, for the second spring in a row they have come up. A little bit of Wisconsin spring way down here in Alabama---I love it! Now if I could just get some Texas bluebonnets to grow here....and some indian paintbrushes, too.

I regularly each spring bring flowers(whole plants) from woods to my yard., Often from National Park which is a "no-no"..lEGALLY YOU CANT TAKE ANYTHING FROM PARK.. CUT FLOWERS, LEAVES IN FALL, WOOD, ROCKS - and the fines are VERY high if you are ticketed).... but I consider I am relocating flowers within the National Park (as my property is contiguous to the park) I am descrete.. put a bit in a back pack... don't walk out with buckets full & a shovel!
Do you know Jemain In Alabama? and Mozart Lover in Wisconsin? They are two FRiends on the ATRW daily thread.
Some of the early wildflowers I like(well there is a whole array, year round in the woodland, but the most in the spring that are well known)
Trillium
Dutchman Breeches
Jack in Pulpit
Phlox
Squirrel Corn
Blood root
May apple
