"It's one thing if you're trying to have a legitimate discussion and you're being heckled to the point where nobody can hear. But when she gets out there and purposely baits those morons with stuff like "if you can put together a coherent thought", I've got no sympathy if she gets shouted down."

I don't understand this comment! Ann says exactly what we want to hear. The hecklers were there to do just that, interrupt her lecture. It is not as if they did not know or expect what she was going to say. We don't invade that moron Dean's stupidity and heckle him. Why is it okay for the Dims to do it to one of our own?

This is typical Dumbo-Crat behavior. Do as I say not as I do. They do nothing but accuse of stifling free speech, (Ward Churchill), and yet what exactly would you call this? The party of tolerance indeed! Perhaps if she miraculously turned gay, or into feminist they would let her speak no matter what she had to say.

Ann says exactly what we want to hear.

That's fine. And I'm not saying that she should change the substance of what she's going to say. But she was intentionally baiting whatever liberals showed up. She was trying to provoke a reaction. It's the only explanation for:

Coulter fired off one zinger after another about liberalism while promising to answer questions from left-wing members in the audience who could "thrash their way to a coherent thought." "I've come to find I like liberals a lot more," Coulter said early in her speech. "They're kind of cute when they're cold, shivering and afraid."

She first acknowledges that the liberals are there, then baits them, and then asks for help to keep them quiet. If you're going to get down in the mud to do battle -- and I'm not condemning that, by the way -- then don't whine about it. She whined.

We don't invade that moron Dean's stupidity and heckle him. Why is it okay for the Dims to do it to one of our own?

Dean's a doofus, but he's directing his comments to people who think like him. What Dean says may piss us off, but that's incidental. He's just trying to get to his base, and would probably prefer that it was only libs present.

Unlike Ann, who knew libs were there, said she wanted to answer questions from them, then just baited them. Then, she asks for help to stop what she started intentionally. Sorry, but I don't respect that. If you wanna dish is out, take it.

I was at the lecture at KU last night. The heckling and loud giggling started before Ann even really got started. I just wanted to hear Ann speak. She even said at the beginning that there would be a q/a session at the end, but the children couldn't wait that long and let Ann do her lecture first. If I were a lib I would have been embarrased by the behavior of the 20 or 30 or so in attendance that made fools of themselves. They were even disrespectfull in the q/a session... A uniformed member of the military had the mic and was trying to ask a question while the children in the back tried to talk over him too.

On the bright side, Ann was great and handled herself very well.
