Veggies aren't food, veggies what food eats.
good point :o)
And then there are the vegans that impose a vegan diet on dogs and cats. I'm sure their pets love them!
...but the oxalates (in spinach at least) prevent absorption, as does phytic acid in unsprouted grains. Vegetable calcium generally has low bioavaliablity relative to dairy and seafood. And with vitamin D intake so low, it can't be utilized anyway.
Abnormally high amounts of estrogen found in soy proteins. Can you say man boobs and low sex libido in both male and females?
Balance is not natural to an insane mind.
interesting link...not everyone has the same routine. I make green drinks but some vegetarians I know drink raw goat milk. I am not opposed to raw goat milk and homemade cheeses but unfortunately I meet some pretty self righteous vegans who would disagree.
It's not bad.Two of my children are not allowed to eat any meat.(Phenylketonuric)No eyes sunk in,no lanky frame, and no boney joints. They're actually healthier than our last baby, who does not have PKU.
Just in case I have to defend myself from these, which works better... pepper spray or roundup?
Considering most of the meat we eat comes from herbivores I'd bet that a vegan would probably taste pretty good! Might not be much meat but I'm sure they'd BBQ nicely.
How long have you been a vegeterian?
I have a neice who is being raised vegan who is a little pudge-bucket, and her vegan parents look like the local healthy Republicans that they are.
Nice to hear your kids turned OK with PKU!
Not long but my employer has been one all his life. I know many long term vegetarians, vegans and a few raw-foodists. I've cut out meat and milk and it's done wonders for me.
Use pepper spray. You may get a lecture about poisonous garden chemicals ;-)
Many, yes, but not all of them! My mother was raised Seventh Day Adventist and has been a lacto-vegetarian most of her life. She has some health problems, but she's doing pretty darn well at ninety-one years.
I think the key is to be careful about your nutrition, veggie or carnie.
How do they measure bone density? Does anyone here know? Is it an easy or inexpensive measurement?
This article is talking about raw food vegetarian not vegans in general. The two are not same. One can be a vegan without being a raw food vegetarian. But I agree with you I think both are too restricted especially for children. I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian which I think is a lot more easy to balance and is generally more sane. I'm not anti-meat. I just don't much like it.
Do you drink soy milk ?
I'm curious, was it a health decision? and by wonders, do you mean weight loss? I've been considering it.
Considering the facts don't support it, I think they do a pretty good job. They have a bogus medical group that puts out 'studies' which the MSM usually picks up.
Somebody's diet is their own business but when they become sanctimonious and try to impose their diet on everyone I tend to get a little ticked off! PETA is typical of this attitude.
Incidentally, most of the vegetarians I knew in college either ate meat on the sly or gave up their vegetarian diet altogether by the time they reached their mid 20s. It was just too difficult to continue to deny their bodies.
