Dr. Hammesfahr's report PING
I think you are reading it right--that is how I read and reread it. Further on, it mentions a doctor who said the bacteria in her urinary tract was wouldn't hurt, so evidently Michael and the doctor were on the same page about no treatment. Urinary tract infections are painful and any infection is not good for overall well being.
Look, Felos was the Director of this particular hospice for a few years and was on the Board of Directors for Florida Suncoast hospices (owner of this one)for several years, according to what i read in an online review of facts in this case. So the doctors who practice there are likely to be like thinkers with Felos about ridding the world of people like Terri.
Not many seems to be getting that she is in a hospice--a place for terminal patients. They are through with treatment and are virtually just being kept clean (hopefully) and comfortable (pain meds). Everybody is just waiting for them to die. Interesting, no? I would like to know just when she was put there. She was put there by michael with Felos' help, and, by Godfrey, she is going to become terminal, or else.
Also not being much mentioned is that they are NOT doing this for Michael S because he is a great guy or for money. They are doing it to change law and precedent so that all Alzheimer's, all severely mentally and physically challenged people can be put to death. From here, it gets easier--we don't want them to suffer. It would be so much more humane just to give them a shot and get it over--cheaper, too. Then the govt could give the money to the UN and 3d world countries for their poor instead of taking care of so many veggie humans over here. Sweet scenario, huh?
vaudine
Not only that, but it is a very prolonged, public execution, done in a slow and painful manner. And they just can't wait for her to die, they are practically gleeful, like the CBS obit folks.
As per the cartoons in #2, you can be sure that, were Scott sentenced to death, it would be illegal to slowly starve and dehydrate him over a period of 12+ days. Even Scott didn't tortuously murder his victims over several days.
That's why the Schiavo Brothers did everthing they could to discredit Hammesfahr when they were on talk radio.
I am going to send an e-mail to BOTH Jeb and George Bush, and put in the subject line "Conservatives are Constitutionalists; Save Terri Schiavo."
Then I'm going to put these two paragraphs in the e-mail:
"Should Congress have intervened?" is an issue that has divided
conservatives. But conservatives are constitutionalists. Under the
Constitution, no person may be deprived of life without due process
of law. This has traditionally meant a trial of one's peers, proof
beyond a reasonable doubt of a heinous crime and no cruel or unusual
punishment. Though she committed no crime, Terri was put to death in
a manner most decent men and women would not use to put a suffering
animal out of its misery.
Most conservatives believe in a God who is the Author of Life and
has given us the laws by which we must live. Among the first of
these is that we must not shed innocent blood. For that is forbidden
by the teachings of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, and the laws of
all the civilizations erected on these faiths. In all nations,
killing of the innocent is the most despicable of crimes. Done on a
vast scale, these are what were called at the Nuremberg trials,
"crimes against humanity."
(Excerpt from Pat Buchanan; wnd.com)
There is the little matter (which I posted) about his being convicted of misleading advertising of his stroke victim treatment. That conviction took place at the same time as the 2002 examination / report.
If you want a doctor's report then you need to look elsewhere.
He is a LOON.
You seem to have hit the old nail on the head as usual. LOL
Not a total loon, just not what the Schlinder's needed at this time. Most of his patients improved who were interviewed. I might add that there were more Neurologists who said that Terri was not in a PVS, than said she was. moreover, the ones that Greer accepted did not use the lastest and most current tests for a PVS. This I would think key and crucial to allowing this horror to take place at all. Terri was not given the lastest tests available. This is so wrong, tragic and frightening.
Cranford identified that Cheshire is a 'fundamentalist christian'.
Don't you know that? /sarcasm.
LOL!! Of course Cranford holds Cheshire in contempt. Cheshire believes in life and Cranford preaches death through medicine. I did a Google search on Cranford and couldn't come up with one case where he counseled life.
Bumping for culture of life.
It's the same doctor and the nobel prize nomination is a fraud, at times he has been forced to admit it is false. Other times, he lies about it at will. He is a LOON.
And what do you thing of GReer Pelos MS
Are they Loons?
Get to the real reason you are here. Honesty is a virtue.
I take it this was a misdemeanor?
Neither do any of 3 little tiny great-grand babies... 1, 18 months and 20 months. : > )
"...just not what the Schlinder's needed at this time."
THANK YOU!
The posting concerned itself with this guy's report. Part of what FR does is to allow us to examine the evidence first-hand (and that has provided our finest hours!).
This evidence doesn't stand up. I grieve that better experts were not brought to bear on this issue at that time.
The issue here is whether Terri's appointed legal representative (husband) could direct her care in the ways that he wished (however awful they might be). Technically, the judges have reaffirmed the husband's rights, which is not the same thing as ordering her death (although with the same outcome.
Courts, by the way, have made such decisions for decades (or longer). They would routinely make such decisions if abortion was only available in cases of rape, incest, etc.
A guardian may refuse any medical treatment, but drinking water is not such a procedure. It is not within the power of a guardian to withhold, and not in the power of a rational court to prohibit.
And keep in mind from the Ralph Nader-Wesley Smith report: "The courts . . . have [also] ordered that no attempts be made to provide her water or food by mouth. Terri swallows her own saliva. Spoon feeding is not medical treatment. This outrageous order proves that the courts are not merely permitting medical treatment to be withheld, they have ordered her to be made dead."
Uh, please explain how someone who is 'PVS' is able to blink rapidly for a period then stop; then squeeze hands, then stop; then grimace, then smile, then not - PERIOD - whether or not it was at the 'appropriate' times ...
"she would then continue to do the action repetitively for up to approximately 5 minutes."
This enough should be evidence that Terri is not in a PVS.
PVS is a label for people in a coma, not for brain-damaged or autistic people who cannot verbalize or process commands 100%.
I was aghast when Wolfson claimed that Terri responded to some commands, but not consistently, and that therefore he reluctantly had to consider her PVS ... Aghast that getting less than 100% meant such voluntary actions would have to be called 'reflexes' when there is no way in hell they could be. Are people who get only 350 on SAT then PVS cases?
Either the legal definition of PVS in Florida is an abomination that treated brain-damaged humans as cattle, or Greer has queered the data, or Terri is being misdiagnosed ... one thing is clear, she aint no vegetable.
Why am I here? I'm just surprised NewsMax didn't vet their reporting, better.
"If he continues to not respond to commands after 15 years, then you might have a proper analogy."
15 years will get us into the teen years ...
IF YOU KNOW OF ANY 16 YEAR OLD WHO RESPONDS TO PARENTAL COMMANDS 100%, I'D SAY THAT IS AN UNUSUAL CASE!
We are talking about loons and the last post tome was about buying medical experts,...Cranford is bought just as much as anybody here wants to claim that Hammesfahr is.
So go back to sleep if you can't keep up.
Amen!
