I am very proud of the President for doing what he did to help save Terri's life. Now, we have to help him appoint pro-life judges to the bench to see that judicial murder is stopped.

I wish for strong words from the President that will bring about some serious change in how this society values life. But I do not expect anything more than a few words expressing the nation's grief and sorrow, and wishes for the healing of all affected by this tragedy.

PUHLEEEZ! He or his brother should have gone in to save her. In my view, he had the authority and DUTY to UPHOLD the Constitution and failed miserably. WORDS ARE CHEAP. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. THE PRESIDENT DID NOT TAKE ENOUGH ACTION!!!!

Blaming President Bush for Terri's Death, is like blaming FDR for the Holocaust because he didn't order the bombing of Auschwitz.

Can you believe this -- one post and here they are? In reading some of these postings, I am reminded of the same things being said on different issues like the 2000 election when Pres Bush was running, California Recall, etc. Third party people stirring the pot it looks like to me aka Buchananites, Libertarians, etc. not to mention the trolls from the left.

I wish for strong words from the President that will bring about some serious change in how this society values life.I hope he says something that gets people thinking about what has really been done. After the pro-death spin and lies have receded, there will be a country wide awakening to the slaughtering of the innocents going on in the U.S. today. There's a moral lesson the people will need to learn about all this. Sometimes, lessons are learned the hard way.
To: Juan Medén
Perhaps you'd like to explain how he's a hypocrite.

I hope that the President keeps silent on this matter and no press release is issued. All any statement will do is to anger social conservatives irrespective of what he says, and, if the statement is too pro-life and anti-Greer, the country club wing to boot. Practically speaking, this is a good time for the President to punt.
To: Juan Medén
That's just ignorant. This is a nation of laws. Despite what Bill Clinton and Janet Reno did in the Elian Gonzalez case, we still are a nation of laws.
Anyone who advocates otherwise is in the same class as el Reno and derSlickmeister.
President Bush did all he could, as did Governor Bush. They should be respected for stepping in and doing everything they could legally.
Now it's time for people like you and I who agree on the principle of this issue to put our shoulder to the wheel, and start working to elect people who support our ideals, and who will replace the judges on the bench who deal in death with ones who will respect life.

I think the President and his brother have acted appropriately. What they have done is left the heat SQUARELY on the courts. Yes, it would have been honorable and brave to save Terri, but the greater cause would not have been served by their taking action. Now, the attention and the blame remains where it should . . . on the failed and overreaching courts of the State of Florida.
Terri's death now becomes resonant and she will not be forgotten. The legal skirimish over this has only just begun.
God Bless and Keep You Terri!

I expect we'll be hearing lots of calls for both Bushes' impeachment over the weekend. I can almost guarantee you that the Rats here in Florida will at least take a long hard look at impeaching Jeb Bush, figuring that they'll have strong support for the idea from the right if they act quickly.
Right now I'd say they've probably figured that part out correctly.
To: gopwinsin04
He had an important La Raza meeting about the minutemen.
To: areafiftyone
Add the Florida Legislature to that list.

I hope he says something that gets people thinking about what has really been done. No matter what the President says, such a speech at this hour of the day will have little impact. If he wants to reach people, he needs to be on the networks during prime time.
