Mexico's President Vicente Fox is preparing to respond militarily to a group of U.S volunteers who plan to patrol the U.S.-Mexican border starting tomorrow, positioning more than a thousand troops nearby, according to an Arizona TV station.
"The Mexican military is on stand-by," reports NBC's Tucson affiliate KVOA. "One unit has about a thousand soldiers. They're located just across the border." Over the last week spokesmen for the border patrol volunteers, who dub themselves Minutemen, have said they will not attempt to detain Mexican illegals, but rather report them to the Border Patrol and track them till they're apprehended.
Despite the assurances, Mexican officials met with the mayor of Douglas, Arizona on Tuesday to discuss how they will handle potential violence, KVOA said.
Last week President Fox warned at a Mexico City press conference:
"We totally reject the idea of these migrant-hunting groups. We will use the law, international law and even U.S. law to make sure these types of groups, which are a minority, will not have any opportunity to progress."

If the Mexican army crosses the border, it will be time for an all-out war.
I hope our guys have the necessary toys.

As this thing gets deeper and deeper the president is going to lose support, which I think is sad. It's a weak spot in the Republican party, and the illegals and their democrat minions know it.
Notice how NO liberal polls have been taken on the subject of illegal entrants!!! That tells us something about how the overwhelming majority feels about this. The polls would get the boarders closed for sure.

Use that law. Cross into our country and we will do what we have to as a sovereign nation to protect that nation. Send in the MARINES!!!

No, our side of the boundary is all ours. Why should Fox spend a centavo to control who leaves his country? He WANTS to export his people so they send $$ back.

A blockbuster exposé in the magazine's March issue notes that over the past five years, there have been 120 documented incidents of Mexican military/police incursions, sometimes resulting in the arrest of Mexican army personnel on U.S. soil by Border Patrol agents.

Where would the boarders go to? A residential hotel?

Why haven't we fortified our border similarly to how
Erich Honecker fortified the East German border?
We should be stringing razor wire, building a serious
wall, towers, a death strip, using dogs...
There should be no need for Minutemen, if the Border
forces we require were in place...
Either we are serious, or we are not and should
just shut up.

Heres an interesting site:
American Border Patrol
Troops Used Popular Crossing Strategy
Douglas, Ariz. (Jan 29) (ABP) -- It was around 5 pm when ABP Hawkeye Larry Vance spotted the Mexican troops moving into a field just south of the U.S./Mexico border. Vance lives in the area and knows the popular crossing points. He watched as the Mexican troops moved a group of up to 100 invaders toward a wash running north and south that offers cover for border crashers. "They probably had them wait for a shift change to make their move," Vance said. (from 2003)

The gangs are trying to intimidate the Minutemen.
Mexico is trying to intimidate the Minutemen.
The US government is trying to intimidate the Minutemen.
Golly, if I didn't know better, I'd swear that all the powers that be WANT illegal immigration....

If major hostilities with Mexico do come to pass, you might as well just surround Los Angeles and probably some other urban centers with razorwire and checkpoints. I have this weird feeling like this could be some grand "set-up".
