Oh come on... is anyone really surprised? Would the Schindlers ~really~ find any peace at any service Michael is organizing? Would their thoughts be of Terri or their hatred for the man across the aisle?

Most families can bury differences at family funerals. This family has extraordinary vitriol and no one should suggest they should have attended the same service. May they both find peace in services attended by their friends and loved ones, and may no one bring hatred in the door with them to any of the memorials to come.

For reasons unexplained, Terri's mother has not visited her since Easter Sunday.

Both OJ & Robert Blake went to their wives funerals. No fights broke out. Terri deserves the presence of her parents. Poor, poor girl.

I would not suggest they attend the same service only that Mr. Schiavo let Terri's real family know where her remains will be interned so they can vist her over the years.

"Most families can bury differences at family funerals."

Well, I am dreading my mom's cousin's funeral, even before she dies. She has about 6 months left from her cancer, and both my uncle and his ex-wife should attend. But I am afraid either my uncle will not go, or there will be a fight. They had a real nasty divorce, and his ex will be there with the man she had an affair with for 7 years. The ex shouldn't go, but she will, and my own family will be forced to endure her or not go. We loathe and detest her, and her sneering little adultering new husband (who left his wife and two kids for her. My uncle won't go, but I have to go. I'll just ignore her.

Fine talk, but Michael is denying Terry a Catholic Funeral, according to her beliefs.

There are no words for one who would deny a family the right to be at their daughters funeral. NONE. PERIOD. No defense whatever. If they make a circus of it then shame on them, but not letting them come is INDEFENSABLE.

I wish someone in Florida or Pennsylvania would knock the hell out of MS and his brother, or that they pick up and move to Texas.

You'd think they'd be civil enough to have two funerals at the same site if they know they can't mix.
