Florida's Department of Children and Families had received nearly 90 allegations that Michael Schiavo had abused his wife in recent years - but a Florida judge ruled yesterday that DCF summaries of those allegations must remain secret

And how many of those allegations came from people that never met Terri or had a dog in the fight. For all that is made of the fact that it took Michael years to remember what she wanted, people overlook the fact that the SChindlers admitted in court that they knew Terri was in persistent vegetative state and it took them five or six days to report to the Federal Courts that Terri said "IIII waaaa..." If she really did say that dont you think they would have put that in their first series of appeals rather than their second. Only when they were out of ammunition did they decide to present that as reason to reattach feeding tube. They might as well said she got up and danced a jig.

And how many of those allegations... well Dave, that's something we'd like to know too. Does it bother you at all that you won't find out? Evidently not by the post you just offered up. All the lame excuses and double-talk, yet no concern.

As far as the "III Waaa" statement, I don't know about the courts, but I heard the lawyer talking about on talk radio within a day or two after it supposedly occured. It wasn't a secret.

Ok, then, so what's wrong with releasing the records? If you're right, Schiavo will be exonerated. If you're not....well, that might explain why they won't release them.

Haven't you seen the video tapes? It is obvious she was responsive, even appropriately closed her eyes during prayer and opened them after "Amen", so what difference does it make when it was brought to he attention of the court? The Schindlers were totally amazed each time that Greer refused to consider what they brought to the court so they kept adding information each time they appeared before him.

MS, on the other hand, tailored his actions and comments strictly to fit the outcome of a court award. Once he got the money, he then remembered what she said. Prior to that he and his lawyers said she was expected to live another 50 years. That is what the award was based on. Afterward he immediately wanted her dead and said thats what she wanted too.

You are welcome to any opinion you care to hold, but for discussion here you should base it on facts because we do and will.

I'm totally serious when I say this. I was listening to Catholic Radio on March 18 the day they took out Terri's feeding tube. Her lawyer Barbara somebody came out and reported on the Drew Mariani Show that she told Terri "We can end this thing right now if you'll just tell people you want to live." Barbara said "Terri said 'IIII waaaa' and she gave up and started to cry." I don't know why it didn't come out right away. But I and I'm sure thousands of others who were listening to the program that day heard it also. If you don't believe me try visiting the relevantradio.com site maybe you can get a transcript from the show. It comes on at 3:00 pm CST. I think what happened was that Terri's family was out lawyered from the get go.

Rationalize it however you want, but nothing justifies the starvation of a person who is physically healthy
