I would think he would be a heck of a candidate for Attorney General if Spitzer is indeed running for Governor! But does he have to use the name "Rough Rider"? Isn't that a condom brand?

The best I remember, he didn't do too many things wrong. He was just David in a Goliath situation.

Stoopid is about the kindest word you can use for NYers.

They hated Rudy for cleaning up their city, reducing the murder rate by more than half, cleaning up the subways, reducing street crime, getting the whores off the streets outside the tunnels, cleaning up the grafitti, and assorted other quality of life improvements.

It was their city and they liked it as a hell hole.

And now, not even four full years later, many of the problems are returning under Mayor Blooming-idiot. It is becoming Dinkins time again.

I saw the man campaign on the same day I saw Hillary Campaign. Rick seemed very uncomfortable in a large crowd. Hillary campaigned like a natural and campaigned EVERY DAY across the ENTIRE STATE.

Lazio was not a good candidate. He is a nice guy and was a competant legislator, but that's not enough for a New York Senate race.

After being shunted off to Brooklyn for awhile, I understand the Porno palaces are returning to 8th Avenue again.

Maybe since he has had so many appearances on TV now, and had more national exposure, he will be more comfortable campaigning this time...

He has a good TV presence and is a good speaker---

He was just David in a Goliath situation.

Meanwhile, he sucked up $40 million of GOP donations and SRCC funds which could have actually made a difference in the US Senate Races in places like say, Nebraska, where Dem. Ben Nelson won by 13,000 votes; Iowa where ultra-lib Harkin won vs. Greg Ganske; Lousiana where Mary Landrieu was incredibly vulnerable. But, what difference would 1 - 3 Republican Senate seats have made in the US Senate during W's first term?

TS

Times Square returning to it's slummy ways.

Subway crime increasing.

The news report blamed the increase in crime on the subway on IPODS and cell phones. As if the rider had some nerve using his personal belongings in public.

The Dinkins attitude is alive and well.

No, the reason I knew the Nebraska data was that I was screaming that we needed the money to defeat Nelson while I was there. Do you have any idea what $250K would buy in middle America cable time compared to the number one media market in the country?

The same is still true today. What was that quote about "Those who forget the past..."?

Oh well - if it looks like Monday morning QB'ing to you so be it.

Regards,

TS
