Anti-Semitic incidents in the United States hit a nine-year high last year, at 1,821, according to a report published yesterday by the Anti-Defamation League. However, a different ADL survey also released yesterday found a slight decline in the percentage of Americans who hold anti-Semitic views. The ADL reports count both criminal incidents, such as physical attacks, and incidents that are not crimes and therefore are not tracked by the law enforcement agencies.
The major incidents detailed in the report include the torching of a Jewish cemetery in Massachusetts; swastikas and the slogan "death to the Jews" scrawled on the walls of a synagogue in Houston, Texas; and a march that included Nazi salutes in a Connecticut mall.
Last year's rise in anti-Semitism was due mainly to a surge in incidents of harassment, from 929 in 2003 to 1,177 in 2004. Such incidents - mainly anti-Jewish catcalls or letters - are perpetrated primarily by neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups, and the increase reflects the resurgence in the power and popularity of these groups last year. There was a particularly significant rise in harassment in the schools, the report said. As examples, it cited anti-Jewish catcalls at a school basketball match in New York, swastikas drawn on textbooks in Florida, and a New Jersey teacher who received a note from a student saying "Hitler should have finished off all the Jews."
The states with the most anti-Semitic incidents were, those with large Jewish populations: New York (350), New Jersey (297), California (237) and Florida (173).
The second ADL survey found that only 14 percent of Americans hold "clearly anti-Semitic" views, down from 17 percent two years ago. However, this figure still represents some 35 million people.

The problem is "Peace Marches". They are rabidly anti-semitic.
You don't know what you're talking about. Jesus deferred everything to His Father. And if you don't believe that it's your business.
The Marxists have their theory based on class; the Nazis on race. It's all still socialism.
Yes, it is getting worse. I posted the following last night, but according to most of the comments under the thread, the topic was the SPLC, Planned Parenthood, GLSEN and the ADL.

Granted, organizations of the left in the USA are detrimental to our national health, and there are many posts about those. But I've seen many of the threads under posts about neo-Nazism hijacked by people who apparently don't object to it (and by some who defend it).

It was a young Jewish man at Free Republic who won the day on the "Passion of the Christ" issue in my opinion. But then, should any of us be surprised?

Thank you for posting that link---I don't remember it and hadn't read it---
I really appreciate all that he wrote in his discourse about the movie...
Give me someone other than ADL yelling that word.
They said the same kind of thing about Pat Robertson and evangelicals although much of the money that has brought Jews out of other Nations was out of evangelical pockets but credited to being out of Jewish pockets. Been there, done that.
