My Daddy always told me, "Follow the Money". This is just another reason for members of Congress, all of them, Dems and Republicans, to not close the borders. This is just another example of money they can spend that they don't have to account for.
If we had the FairTax, HR25-S25, it would put an end to all of this. They would pay taxes on all goods purchased with whatever money they make, under the table or otherwise.
I don't mean to change the topic of the thread, but "Follow the Money".

It looks like his employers have a great scam going. They tell him they have to withhould socialist security, then pocket the money. They undoubtedly withhold federal, state, and local taxes as well that go into the company coffers. I'm sure this patriotic minded guy who really wants to be a full fledged American citizen would let the government know about this scam if he knew where to go to report it.

Illegal immigration, Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, co-director of immigration studies at New York University, noted sardonically, could provide "the fastest way to shore up the long-term finances of Social Security."Now, I don't know how you guys and gals take this, but it appears this person wants our government to sanction proceeds from and embrace illegal activity just like the despicable, corruption-riddled government from the lands they left. This is all the more reason to get these types out of America.

Nice of "Eduardo" to use highly suspect numbers to celebrate illegality as a means of propping up a socialist program.
This entire article sounds like "La Raza" propaganda, and it completely overlooks the known, provable numbers in the billions that illegals cost US taxpayers every year.

Many of them are paid in cash. There is no withholding. That's why a consumption tax makes sense. They'd have to pay something on anything they buy...though it wouldn't be much...and that's more than we get out of the cash-under-the-table economy now.

This is all the more reason to get these types out of America. That's exactly how I take it. The author of this article and his illegal alien reconquista corruption loving illegal aliens can go to hell.

Oh. Well. Since there's money involved, it's okay to break the law.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

LIES, RUMORS, and PROPAGANDA - PING.
(The Mexican invasion will actually SAVE our Social Security System. That's right folks. This line is being officially set forth by El Presidente Fox as the perfect reason to TEAR DOWN THE BORDER between the United States and Mexico and create ONE STANDARD CURRENCY between the two and Candida.)
=============================
"But Mr. Martínez - who comes from the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico and hiked for two days through the desert to enter the United States near Tecate, some 20 miles east of Tijuana - contributes more than most Americans to the solvency of the nation's public retirement system."
What does El Presidente Fox have to say about it?
