PARIS, April 4 (AFP) - A haul of some 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of Semtex explosives seized at the weekend by French police in the northern town of Hazebrouck came from Bosnia and was destined for the criminal underground, justice officials said Monday.
Five people were detained after the Czech-made explosives, along with a stock of detonators, were found on Saturday concealed in a lorry containing metal parts bound for a company in the area.
Three were arrested at the scene and two others -- the suspected purchasers of the Semtex -- were detained later in Paris. The ring-leader was a former Bosnian soldier, Le Parisien newspaper reported.
The seizure was ordered by a Paris magistrate as part of an investigation opened last month into organised crime. According to sources close to the enquiry, the explosives were due to be delivered to Paris, but the judge decided to take preemptive action.
The explosives may have come from Bosnian army stocks, justice officials said. They were brought by road to France via Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Belgium.
Police have long expressed concern that supplies of arms and explosives reaching criminal gangs in France are being supplied from the former Yugoslavia.
A kilogram of Semtex can fetch up to 4,000 euros (5,150 dollars) on the black market, Le Parisien said. Investigators believe Saturday's haul was to be divided up and sold off in bits.

And he would be a Muslim (Bosniak) of course. If he were a Serb they would say so and give his name, but for the Bosnian Muslims and Albanians they often won't name them and let them off with a slap on the wrist.
The "Bosnian army" were mostly Muslims. If he were a Serb, they'd say he was part of the Bosnian Serb army.
They were jus' preparing fireworks to celebrate oil for food programmmme.

The only terrorists in Bosnia were Bosnian Muslims who kickstarted the civil war with the murder of groom's father Nikola Gardovic in wedding ceremony in Sarajevo, March 1 1992.
This murder was a terrorist act, as per DOS definition Mark provided a while ago.

This terrorist act pushed the volatile situation into the Bosnia civil war.

For starters, repaeat after me: There are still Islamic terrorists in Bosnia (e.g. Lukovo Polje) as well as Bosnian terrorists in Gitmo. Mohammed Atta trained in Bosnia in 1999. His lieutenants also. AQ Bosnian cell was involved in 911 and Madrid terror attack.
Racist attitude towards the Serbs is one thing. Openly supporting Islamic terrorists is antother.
The involvement of those Bosnian firms in breaking the arms embargo of Iraq was actually highlighted by a PBS show (can't remember which one) way back in 2002. I remember they interviewed some supposedly responsible Bosnian government guy and he essentially responded with something like "oh, that's terrible, we'll have to do something about that" - yah, right!

For some of you who don`t watch CNN ,something about Sarajevo:Sarajevo is a Big Little Town!Meaning that it is a town in which everyone knows everyone,and Sarajevans know exactly what was and did happen.I have heard from at least ten people from Sarajevo (Muslims Croats and Serbs) that Yuka has done it.And,as a typical Sarayevan,he was bragging about it afterwards.Yuka Prazina was a small local hudlum,very insignificant before the war.A pick pocket,and burglar.With a limp.No one liked him or respected him.He gained "glory" on the back of Izetbegovich`s authority,but,soon,had to fled Sarajevo and join Croatian Army in Mostar,where he fought against the Muslims.At the end of the war,Bosnia was not safe for him so he had to escape to Europe.He got involved in drugs and stollen cars.Finaly,he was assasinated in Belgium on the orders of Izetbegovich`s son.It is true that Yuka Prazina was behaving like "kabadahia"(Bosnian-Turkish word for a bully or a thug) since he became a "Green Beret".Imagine a Bosnian version of Liberty Wallance and you`ve got a picture.He did shoot some of the staff of the University Clinic and I have heard a first hand story from two brothers,ortopedic surgeons from Sarajevo,currently living in Acton,London!Bosnian press was strictly controled by Izetbegovich and his hanchman,Ejup Ganich,and no dissent was tolerated.So,they would ignore the murder,easily,because,no one wanted to be killed by a "Serbian sniper" or a "shrapnel" ,if you know what I mean.The fact that one is far out of range of Serbian snipers is irrelevant.
