Cardinal Law to perform one of the funeral masses for the Pope, what are they thinking!!!!
CFRB Radio

Posted on 04/07/2005 12:12:56 PM PDT by llama hunter

Just heard a radio talk show discussing the fact the Vatican has given Cardinal Law, he of the Boston pedophile scandal, a prominent and honoured role in the Pope's funeral...assuming this is true and I gather it must be

who is the lame brain who thought that up......

someone is suggesting all Americans should boycott that mass to give the Vatican a message

it seems Rome doesn't think the covering up of buggering small boys is problematic.....

as it is Law is getting away with murder......with a cushy position in Rome

why would you want to detract from the focus of the day by making a lame decision like that or did John Paul II expressly ask that Cardinal Law do this, so then what does that say about John Paul II

well yes, some seem better able to forgive, many have not forgiven Law and many are not happy that he seemed to be, well, promoted given his gross incompetence, I tend to sympathize with that side - has Law actually publicly repented or apologized to the victims? I imagine the lawyers wouldn't let him.

But don't you think for sheer PR purposes you would keep Cardinal Law locked away, give him a trip to the Caribbean for the next week or so, why even tempt tainting the funeral

well here are the pagan sources reporting on the same story now:

Vatican Gives Cardinal Law Role of Honor
Associated Press

Boston Herald - catching up to the Globe
Law's role angers victims Boston Herald

Hmmmm CBS News is reporting it on the web too , maybe we do have to wait for more facts, LOL and check out the headline:
Notorious U.S. Cardinal Honored
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/04/07/world/main686346.shtml

oh but they've just posted AP's article with a different headline

Bill Clinton participated in the Pope's funeral and he publicly desecrated the Catholic sacrament of communion while in Africa. So why should we be shocked that a man who enabled pedophiles in the rape of children would also be included?

Hey, I wouldn't worry about it.

Law would never be designated as a major participant in the Pope's funeral activities. How silly would that be?

I mean, that would be as silly as thinking that the Dems would appoint Howard Dean to be head of the DNC!

C'mon now! Let's get REAL!

The real mystery is why Law isn't in jail for conspiracy to commit pedophilia.

His not in prison because there is not a scrap of evidence to put him there despite a full 18 month investigation. See the DA's report and give him a break.
