Let the dead bury the dead.
Unlike Clinton, who's only interest is himself, Bush remained low-key from the time he arrived in Rome to the time he left. President Bush realized this was a time to dignify and honor JPII in both life and death. Clinton is just a turd in the punch bowl.
No one in the U.S. delegation should have granted any interviews because that's not the reason they're there. The Bushes and Dr. Rice comported themselves in a dignified way that makes all Americans proud. When attending a funeral, the attention should go to the departed.
The classless-ness of the Clintons never cease to amaze me.
Brit Hume corrected it last night on his show. The worldwide number of priests INCREASED under his leadership.
The Catholic faith exploded under JPII. Starting with 7,00,000 when he become Pope, and today the RCC has 1.1 billion.
ROFL
"makes me wonder what JPII might have told Clinton in private!"
Oh boy, to be a fly on the wall when these two had a private conversation!
Just when I thought I couldn't think less of Clinton, he outdoes himself.
I read somewhere that Chirac "looked very unhappy" at the service...not sure what that was about though.
As to the Spanish PM...ppppffffttt. :)
I can't fault Willie on this.
Bill Clinton is so very small.
On Fox & Friends, they stated that Chirac was seated right next to President Bush. That might explain his unhappiness.
Looks like slick willie still can't face the truth. Never has, never will. What a scumbag.
I'd be interested to see if, after this week, the number of those "reverting" to Catholicism increases.
Maybe as a Protestant he can't really comment on the Pope's "greatness"?

In Clinton's feeble mind no one is greater than he is. The world does revolve around him, doncha know!
Clinton would kill to have the kind of legacy the Pope has. Clinton is clearly jealous.
You would do your soul good by not watching NBC at all. A day without NBC is like a day with sunshine.
