But, to use italics means you have to do HTML on your whole reply which is a real pain.
I would like to see something that would not require HTML for the entire reply because it is just too time consuming.
That is why I have used...

I don't think it looks great but need something that could just be typed with putting in all the paragraph signs etc.

Just shows up as "less than" and "more than" signs in FF and IE, because it's not a valid tag in any browser, and hasn't been defined as a tag by the "document creator" in this case FR. So, even your example is flawed.

The green print is horrid. I cannot read it without eye-strain.
That has always been SOP for my responses to other posts. It makes things very readable.

It's trouble to put on a suit when you go to a business meeting. It's trouble to put on a tux when you go to a formal ball. Heck, it's trouble to put on a swimsuit when you want to take a dip in the pool.
If you want to show up for a business meeting in blue jeans, go to the ball in a regular suit or forget your swimsuit and just peel off your clothes when you go for a swim, that's your business.

Well - my wish list is a section of the posting window that can be used for quoting what you are replying to that ALREADY HAS THE PROPER CODED HTML FOR ITALICS and that will not mean the whole reply has to be manually HMTL'd.
If we had two posting windows - first for the italics quote, second for the reply.
I know it is a lot to ask but just to get on the waiting list.
I am lazy and I have now forgotten the code and the newbys will not be familiar with the code anyway.
