Clever, but it's not a true <hr>, you used <table> to do that:)

Indeed, though mine was centered.

Is there a way to do a colored hr?

Why does it matter? Tables are more versatile. Anything that can be done with an embedded .JPG can be done with an embedded table, although representing a 640x480 picture entirely in HTML is not apt to make you very popular with dial-up users. Horizontal bar charts can easily be rendered with tables:

Smart people 200

Dumb people  50

Vertical ones can be trickier, but even they are hardly impossible.

Have long had fits about table material in html.

Do you have a good tutorial link on it or can you list it out in a post conveniently?

Why does it matter?

Doesn't really matter. I just like learning new things.

Tables are more versatile.

I use tables all the time. Easier to control layout.

Learning curve over the next week
