Who knows...just a feeling, but the Lizards are already here and seem to prefer Denver's airport..

Most likely PhDs and other bright people. There are a ton of them at White Sands, Socorro, Sandia Labs and Los Alamos.
Also there is no SNOW!

Lawyer fees are cheaper when a rocket explodes over cactus and mesquite barrens than when one goes bang over suburbia.
Plus, it's real close to a source of cheap labor.
