Just from the reading I have done of JP II's writings, I think he was one of the most insightful, intellectually honest, and gifted minds of the 20th century. Many people, not just Catholics, can benefit from his thoughts on many subjects.

If more peopel actually took the time to read the writings of JPII they would see what a formidible intellect he was. You don't even have to agree with him on everything (or anything) to see that.
I wish more people would read his writing before criticizing him.
