Those of us who work 60 hours or more a week and have to deal with NY tax issues don't have the advantage of high priced lawyers and accountants to fend for us.

First of all, I'm sure Rush works very hard.

Second of all, I find it absurd that you consider it an "advantage" to have to pay a high priced accountant or attorney. Most of us don't have that particular "advantage" because we don't need it.

Are you angry that he makes a lot of money? He pays proportionally much more in taxes than the avg person, too.

Rush has said, and he's right, that Republican conservatives always win when they act like and demonstrate that they are conservative.

Without Rush there would be no Republicans in the White House; no Republican majorities in the Senate and House. He is frustrated that his hard work ended up in majority parties of wimps and losers.

I don't listen to Rush anymore. He doesn't have the passion he once did and frankly, he does more than his share of acting as the unofficial mouthpiece for the GOP. Conservatism does not equal GOP and vice versa. I think that somewhere along the way, Rush forgot that.

My wife is a confirmed Savage-ette and I've been listening to him a lot as well. Although you might need to don asbestos underwear to listen to him, I think Michael Savage is just a whole lot better as a political commentator.

think Rush is listening to what Michael Savage has been saying for a very long time and finally opened his eyes!!

You know he listens to him because he quotes him alot. Must have felt bad about some of the things Savage says about him sticking up for the phony stuff.

rush has made $400,000,000 in his career and that he should pay some taxes...well, why not

And he cannot begin to spend $400,000,000 either. So it gets reinvested in productive enterprises and eventually passed on to personal and institutional heirs to be spent and reinvested, but not before the federal government swallows up its huge "share" to fritter away on inefficient social welfare schemes.

Rush, like all of us, should pay his fair share to support the essential duties of limited government as defined in the Constitution. Beyond that, his private market-informed and market-driven decisions on where to invest the excess does more to keep the nation's economy healthy than any central plan concocted by politicians and bureaucrats in Washington DC.

"Oh,but you don't understand politics.Santorum is from Pennsylvania. He has to move left and sell out conservatism otherwise he will not get elected. We cant forcefully advance our agenda because the rats will demonize us and scare old people. We have to peddle socialism lite(not so lie) otherwise the Rats will win.True conservatism cant win.SARCASM"

You've got the rap down perfectly. Some of us have been posting to threads on www.grassrootspa.com, in an effort to help other PA Republicans see the light....to no avail. Santorum has a cult-like following that simply will not listen to reason. They're falling all over themselves praising him for proposing a reduction in the Beer Tax while ignoring the much bigger issues of the day. The sheople are easily led and confounded by the most simple slight of hand. I fear for my children's future.

I can't say for sure, but I'd say Rush is at least a passive FReeper. Any thoughts out there? I haven't been a FReeper long enough to know . But, I LOVE FREE REPUBLIC AND CONSERVATIVES. I can understand Rush being very frustrated.

I am assuming since he works some times in New York, the taxman up there wants good ole Rush to pay some state taxes.

An article was posted a while back about a programmer in Tennessee. He lived and worked in Tennessee, but the company he did the programming work for was in New York City.

His argument was that he rarely set foot in NYC, so shouldn’t have to pay New York State or New York City taxes - or at very most should only have to pay taxes on the money made on the rare occasion that he was actually IN New York working. It went to court and he lost – he has to pay New York City/State taxes on ALL $ made from that employer even though he never physically spent much time there.

Probably something similar in Rush’s case. IOW, they may not be interested in income just when he’s in New York – they may want a chunk of ALL of it.

Oh,but you don't understand politics

I am sick of hearing that. I do understand politics, and I believe the majority of people really want their leaders to stand up for the issues they promised too.

most people hate phony politicians.

Savage was an ridiculous last night.

He might think his "hush bimbo" is cute, but I interpret it as sheer jealousy on the part of a bantamweight who can't deal with the heavyweight in the room, so he has to badmouth him. And it is so ignorant and adolescent....schoolyard stuff.

Savage is a charlatan.

We need to hear more of this coming from you Rush. I'm your age and feel exactly the same about the milk toast phonies playing games in Washington.

We had a ball listening to Rush yesterday. He hit the Republicans for letting DeLay get smashed by the pig Democrats. He is letting it all hang out on illegal immigration, too. Bet the Pubs will smack him upside the head before too long. Keep it up, Rush.
