Hillary is not electable.

I wouldn't mortgage your house to bet on that if I were you.

I hope she runs ..... and that you're right.

Maybe that'll be the straw that breaks the JackA$$'$ back. :)

"I think Steyn is wrong. Hillary is not electable."

I second that.

She can wear a wig, lose 30 lbs, morph into a patriotic, nationalist American, change her gender in Denmark, grow a beard and spit fifty dollar gold pieces. She's unelectable as president.

I hope you're right, but Herr Steyn is usually pretty spot on! What we need to do is start on a plan, not to mention finding a candidate, to BEAT HER.

Hillary is not electable.

That depends on who the Republicans run against her. By the time she announces, the MSM will have paved the way so that she will be deemed to have won by acclimation. The only formality will be to run an election.

I really have a hard time gauging the average American, especially on issues like "would you vote for the quintessential Witchy Woman" but it seems to me that her grating, annoying, shrill (go ahead, call me sexist) voice when she gets "animated" will not last long in a grueling Presidential campaign.

In general, I agree with you. However, I read a Freeper posting the other day that offered the following scenario: Hillary claims 43% of the popular vote just by showing up which is precisely the same % that got Bill Clinton elected in 1992. Say in 2008 that a third party candidate emerges who runs to the right on border control, guns, trade issues, etc; Say that third party can get 10 to 15% of the vote mostly by siphoning off votes from conservatives or moderate repubs. Wouldn't that set up Hill to win just like her husband did in 1992??

They said that about sKerry. Heck, I said that about sKerry! He failed, but look how close he came. Mr. "I mean everything to no one, and nothing to everybody" managed to close ranks with the factions in his party and, along with massive contributions from Soros and the MSM, almost pulled off what would be the greatest scam in American politics.

During the "10 little idiots" phase of the demo primaries, I said that if sHrillary truly had any ambitions to run, she would have to run now, while she had any political capitol to spend. 2008 was too far off and one cannot save political capitol or good will. She didn't, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

She is electable. I'm counting on conservatives joining ranks to make certain she isn't elected

I believe anything can happen with these people. They have no boundaries because they will do anything.

I think Steyn is wrong. Hillary is not electable.

That is just wishful thinking. She will carry ever state Kerry won. She had a very good chance of winning Ohio and a couple of others Bush won.. like Iowa. She might win West Virginia.

You are thinking voters react to Hillary the way you do. We know a majority of voters do not react to Bill or Hillary the way you do.

By 2008 the electorate will want nothing changed. That is, they will want grid lock. We will be 5 years into the good times and the public will want absolutely nothing done. Hillary will campaign at being better at doing nothing than anyone.

Styne has it right. The electorate will vote for grid lock. They will have a very strong Republican House and Senate and put Hillary in the White House. They won't be able to think of a better grid lock than that.

Hillary is not electable.

I wish you were right, but this is the country which reelected Bill in 1996.

I pray you are right, but then I remember Jimmy Carter getting elected and I get depressed.

Hillary is not electable.

Had John Kerry an additional 60,000 votes, a leftist Senator with a dubious record of no distinction would have defeated a wartime Republican incumbant. Hillary is a LOT stronger candidate than Kerry.

Please elucidate your thesis.
