well I wonder if there isn't something more to this, mind you I don't think most obstruction charges get prosecuted unless attached to other charges, whether that is right or wrong, same with perjury, it is rarely prosecuted and I know from sitting in on a few trials myself, people lie on the witness stand every single day......

I believe Couey has confessed fully, otherwise I would have suspected that the DA may have made a deal for testimony from the three in exchange for dropping the charges

now even if Couey did confess, has he hired a fancy ass lawyer who is all of sudden going to challenge the confession, so maybe the DA is keeping these three along as witnesses just as case

did Couey fess up to other crimes to these people?

Fess up? I have no idea, but I do know that if he kept the wee one in that TRAILER HOUSE (thin walls, people!!) for over two days as he claims, they had to have heard her cries and screams as he raped her over and over. Did they stop him? Did they call the police? NO. They should suffer the same punishment as he does.
