The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Threat Matrix - Daily Terrorism Threat
Details show extent of terror plot against U.S.
Full Story

We now know more about an alleged attack that triggered an increased national threat level last summer.

That's when U.S. officials said they had uncovered a plot targeting financial institutions. The plot involved bombs, banks and British nationals.

The detail was startling, the targets enormous. They included financial buildings in Washington, New York and New Jersey.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea that so many countries were on the "no passport required" list. On the other hand, with all the forged documents available these days, I suppose it doesn't really matter (sarcasm).

Wow. Sounds like Homeland Security is acting rather childish. Not a good sign Velveeta.

According to the article, at the link below, there are current attack indicators. Whether the article is accurate is anybody's guess.

I apply that to only the US. Other indicators are generally posted with the specific country.

Hi, AP

Yes, and regarding Iran, if more information keeps leaking out about our intentions and the timing of the operation, it seems to me that Iran would be very tempted to pre-empt with whatever they have....

One must sign in to read the story. Do either of you have membership and the time to print the story on TM? I would really appreciate reading that one.

I have long had concerns that we are going to face something similar to the accident in Bhopal, India, years ago....

The real danger the plant's close proximity to Newark airport and NYC.

I'm anxious enough driving along the turnpike where it looks like the planes are going to land on the highway....now this little gem!

Thanks for the clarification Godzilla. I should have specified that; sorry. Plus, the article I referred to was posted after you posted your latest summary. The details will get me every time :-)

OPINION: Well, well "James 54."

"James54" is a small-minded jerk online with a very small ****.

Takes your games and jollies elsewhere and get some help.
You need it.
