NEW YORK (AP) - Two men aboard a Northwest Airlink flight from Detroit to New York were arrested Friday after one of them asked to see the cockpit and refused to sit down, federal authorities said.
Neither man got into the cockpit, and it did not appear they tried to force their way in, authorities said. The flight landed without further incident at Kennedy Airport.
The Homeland Security Department "is monitoring the ongoing investigation," spokesman Brian Roehrkasse said.
Memphis-based Pinnacle Airlines, which operated the flight under the Northwest Airlink name, said the 50-seat jet was full, with two pilots and a flight attendant.
From Detriot? Any bets on their religion?
No names of the suspects in the article?
I'm sure they were named Robert Smith and John Jones, right?
More like Sarah Smith and Brittney Jones.
I'm guessing Jehovah's Witness - probably wanted to give the pilots some important literature.
Such people should be pitched overboard immediately, without a parachute.
So I have to know, what did the 50 passengers do when these two yahoos started caussing trouble?
Safe bet they were not on their way to a Mensa meeting....
I was guessing Mormons on their mission.
Such people should be pitched overboard immediately, without a parachute.

Amen to that. I'll even hold open the door.
Would actual terrorists be stupid enough to think they can do that? Sounds like wannabes to me, not that it makes them any less dangerous.
Terrorists? No. My guess is that they were drunk or high.
A few weeks back, there was a guy on a Houston to Las Vegas flight who had to be subdued when he too a swing at a flight attendant. That guy won't be traveling anytime soon.
Wanted to see the cockpit? Geeze, all I ever wanted to see was a safe landing.
Members of the Church of Perpetual Stupidity?
Captain Oveur: You ever been in a cockpit before?
Joey: No sir, I've never been up in a plane before.
Captain Oveur: You ever seen a grown man naked?
