Not happy about Tancredo's alignment - anti Speaker Tom Delay. Kudos to the Minutemen.

Come here to discuss issues you have with the Minutemen.
Plenty of time on this Sunday afternoon.

Tancredo has been doing polls on a daily basis and public opinion of MMP is low.

Tancredo's been in the news a lot lately. I admit to not knowing anything about him. Is he planning on running for Pres.? I admire his stand on the Minutemen Project but I think politicians are feeling the heat about illegal immigration and have figured maybe, for their own political sake, they need to read what the voters think about the Minutemen Project. And his criticism of DeLay that I've heard just makes it seem like he thinks he should step aside until an investigation is done. I certainly don't agree with him on that but he hasn't come out and said that he believes DeLay did anything illegal or unethical.

Is there some way the Minutemen could each donate a small piece of vertebrae - just enough to make one complete spine - to send to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington DC?

Rumors have been circulating that the project might cut short its originally planned month-long monitoring of a 23 mile section of the Arizona-Mexican border by citizen volunteers.Well, just how far can one stretch less than a hundred guys for what, two weekends?
Except for the hyperbole the rethinking will go into how to pretend that they have done anything other than make fools of themselves and tank tancredo...

I cannot give personal experience on what people think about the MMP in my California location.
I am however astounded at the number of people who connect health care problems (never ending increases in costs for example) with ILLEGAL aliens.
Everyone I talk to is aware and affected. These are people who mostly watch TV entertainers pretending to be reporters.
Despite the state budget problems not a word about the ILLEGAL aliens connection, that I've heard, from the Governor, mainline Republicans or their Democrat brothers and sisters, and certainly not from California's tightly controlled MSM (though I do not monitor it).
No matter how important taxpayer-subsidized labor is for mainline Republicans and no matter how important millions and millions of "clients" are for the Democrats' welfare industry the public has had it. IMO.
MMP could well come to mean the Minuteman Party attracting all but mainline Republicans and mainline Democrats.
