Luther also taught that bigamy was OK because Scripture didn't condemn it.

I hadn't heard that one before. Do you have a source?

In German the noun Rat means "councillor" or "advice/counsel.

Hey, I got it; I got it.
I was merely adding information, not disputing or disparaging.
Sorry.

What language did Ratzinger speak in?

Most of the Mass was in Latin. Cardinal Ratzinger gave the homily in Italian.

Thanks. I just got to wondering if the sermon would also have been in Latin.

I wonder how many American Catholics are looking wistfully at these Latin services, swinging censers, etc..., wondering why they can't have this at home.

Just because it's in Latin, doesn't mean it's doctrinally sound. Satanic worshipers use latin in their rituals too. If anything the antipopes of Vatican II should know...they carry the broken cross, the "papal" cross...the very same type that is used in satanic worship. One must know their faith and what a TRUE mass entails...Nothing from Vatican II or the Novus Ordo "Mess" is truth. The indult is not a true Mass, nor are all of the schismatic "traditionalists".

Apparently no one has heard of the blasphemous "Polka Mass"

Was it St Thomas Aquinas that also said, "Love your neighbor, but never trust him. The difference is so great that we are commanded to do the former, and forbidden to do the latter." ?
