Sickening! If they had any courage at all they would ban cigarette sales in the state and be willing to forego any revenues from tobacco. Of course, if they had any courage at all, they wouldn't be politicians!

It was with some trepidation that after my own post #17, I got back to FR. I scanned for the expected red lettered "new post for you" etc. Nothing. I am glad that you stepped in with your example. I had stepped light myself having been called an "idiot" last month, on the subject of War Crimes. Sulked for a week.
There may be something BEYOND the simple banning of smoking though. This may point to why some people are irate. My view is that it may be a precursor to control, control and more control. In the old local adopted hometown, having banned smoking, the anti's are forcing a restricted area over 50 feet from entrances.
Some enterprising club owners are building a patio outside for smokers. Now there are even cries, to stop 'em doing this. I worked in a blast furnace with soporific gasses for seven years- I do not think anti's ever cared about steel workers and THEIR health though-catch 'em going that close. LOL
