It looks like that sculpture that Ray's mom did on the show Everbody Loves Raymond.
Hey, me too! I've gone through the underpass so many times that I've lost count.
It started with Our Lady of Guadalupe and they've been using it claim more territory ever since.
Yes?
Lay the "Virgin Mary Taco Shell" next to it. Who KNOWS what would happen???!!!
I'm sorry - I don't follow you. Could you restate?
No.
BTW: Folks who believe this are as silly as the folks who see Elvis in the cloud above their house.
The Holy Mother is saying: "STOP DRIVING ON THE OVERPASS, IT'S CRUMBLING, YOU STUPID IDIOTS. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU "PUT MONEY INTO HIGHWAY RECONSTRUCTION!" BONEHEADS!
"I can almost make it out."
I don't get it. Why is it whenever there is some sort of human looking image, it the blessed virgin. This one on the overpass looks more like that woman that drove her husband, Kurt Kobain to suicide.
Thanks!
I find it interesting that one of these images appeared on an office building in Clearwater, FL, ten miles from Terri Schiavo's hospice. Now there's one in Chicago where a man is starving to death his thirty something year old wife who had a stroke. Do you think it could be a wake up call?
I got to see that Clearwater image up close and personal before some dingbat smashed it.
It was very beautiful - much more detailed than what this seems to be.
Just wondering....has anyone checked to see if a graffiti artist did this?
I mean...why do they think this isn't manmade?
Have you heard of Guadalupe?
Yeah, she used to live upstairs from me with her husband Chuy and their four kids Jose, Rosalita, Diego & Carlos. Made some nice tortillas too.
In the case of Juan Diego at Guadalupe, Mary allegedly appeared to him in spirit and then on Juan's cloak. I have seen the cloak and it didn't have much of an effect on me. Then again I am a lapsed Catholic, so take my opinion however you wish.
However, reports of the Virgin Mary appearing on Tortillas, on subway walls and highway underpasses are just silly.
That is my favorite image of John Paul II-joking around with the young people who came to see him.
I was touched that even on the day that he died, he sent a message out to the young people gathered in St. Peter's:
"I came looking for you, and now you come looking for me, and I thank you."
Nice picture of blackness.
