Lemme tell ya, for the longest time as I watched the TV screen that smoke looked white. Did you have the same impression?

Did I hear right last night...that Ratzinger was a member of the Hitler Youth in his early days? If so, at first glance that would seem to rule him out. But I suspect the Cardinals put more weight on who he is now, not at the age of six or ten, even if it's embarrassing.
He was forced to join the Hitler Youth. His father was a detractor of Hitler, so his family had to move from town constantly.
