I highly recommend The Virus and the Vaccine to anyone looking for an intriguing, intelligent read, but especially to anyone who received the polio vaccine during the 1950s and 1960s or who is experiencing an unexpected and unexplainable cancer. It's truly a shame that this "medical blunder" could have essentially exchanged one poison for another, infecting healthy people with a carcinogenic virus in the name of disease prevention.
One wonders how many actual physicians (as opposed to, say, chiropractors and homeopaths) are members of the "physicians committee for responsible medicine." My guess is that the number's in the low single digits.
