My goodness, this is about as bad as it gets on our college campuses. I am listening to Al Rantel on KABC in L.A. right now. Their guests are the editor and publisher of the new conservative newspaper on the UCLA campus --- THE BRUIN STANDARD.
They just told a story about a black studies professor at UC Santa Barbara. He actually forces his students to write "GWB is a moron" on their final paper or they do not get credit for it.
The guests will be on until 9pm. www.kabc.com
All right! I just got through on the phone and got in a cheap shameless plug for the parody CD on rightwingparodies.com Al let me do it because I ran a 1/4 page ad in the BRUIN STANDARD.
Just when you think they can't sink lower----they DO!
They didn't give a name but perhaps we can find out who it is.
I loved UCLA..but you would have to drug me to write that about GWB. Sounds like a Race and Racism Prof. I had there in 95.
Please keep me informed about this!! With it being CA I am sure the prof. won't be punished if true.
This is the kind of story FOX News needs to do.
Ah, yes, and out of the stench of the academic septic tank, rises another fine "academic classroom politico". And someone on FR the other day was posting a MASSIVE DEFENSE that leftist-domination of the education process was not real, that it was imaginary....
Sorry. Here is another fine example of UNBIASED EDUCATION!
They are from UCLA but were speaking about a UC Santa Barbara professor.
I would file a lawsuit against the guy. This is an outrage. He would be right at home in Stalin's Russian or Hitler's Germany. Not to mention Castro's Cuba, Saddam's Iraq, Communist China, etc. etc...
Read Victor Davis Hanson's latest coloum on Colleges..Fascinating reading..He tears apart the new left curriculum on campus ..We HAVE to find ou twho this jerk is..Now THATS cause for being fired I would imagine..No one protested this..If I were in that clss I'd start a riot with this idiot. If he failed me I'd have his ass in court in 5 seconds.
One of the most important lessons to be learned in college is how to deal with morons in positions of authority. You have to learn to choose your battles. I often told professors what they wanted to hear to get a grade.
What a weird bunch of people, and THEY are teaching our students. Teaching them what???
[a black studies professor at UC Santa Barbara. He actually forces his students to write "GWB is a moron" on their final paper or they do not get credit for it.]
This kind of thing is just fine with me.
Does he think he is actually going to PERSUADE anybody who is a fence sitter on genuine issues to disagree with George Bush based on THIS?
Anyone who agrees with something like this after writing it, is someone who already thought so beforehand. All this nincompoop is going to do is force intelligent students who don't yet have an opinion to realize how dishonest Bush's opposition has to be if this is what is being passed off as legitimate criticism.
If this is what you brought to the table, professor, then you should have heeded the advice about certain contests with elephants. But, PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS.
What post was that? Have a link?
For those of you who have been off campus for a number of years I suggest you go take a course .You WONT BELIEVE what goes on .I'm 52 and went back 5 years ago to get my Masters..Unreal !!! worse than anything you can imagine..I was the oNLY Republican/Conservative in sight ..I was attacked at every turn.Total Socialist ran the place. Kooks galore , none of whom had anything near a classic education..Go see for yourselves..
From this it is difficult to know whether the academic standards at UCLA are waxing or waning.
Perhaps through a bomb sight.
Thanks for the link, Doug. That is quite the group of "educators"...not too diverse though.
