In one of the the articles, I believe it said jail time..(though it was pretty early when I read it)...Usually, in cases like this, he'll plead guilty, accept the fine and the jail term..then, after he's through cooperating and testifying, the feds will make a motion for a reduced sentence because of his cooperation..but they won't give it to him BEFORE..IOW..he has to earn it..this keeps the CW honest, and also makes it harder for the defendants to discredit him..
Also negates the Ollie North ploy...'I won't testify without immunity'... 'OK you get immunity'....'OK I invoke the 5th amendment'
