The next time the secularists, the ACLU or the Supreme Court of America try to stop law abiding, God fearing Americans from using the word GOD in anything……stop them with this and remind them of the United States Constitution and the oath the states swore to uphold concerning matters of religion. Belief in the Almighty and being a Conservative is ALRIGHT!

The problem is NOT that the ACLU, supreme court and others don't know. The problem is that they DO know, but they love darkness rather than light. They are wicked and therefore they do wicked things. This is what evil looks like.

"Disbelief in the Almighty and being a Liberal is ALL WRONG !!!"

It's not "wrong" - but it is stupid. But .. we must remember that Jesus said, "Whosoever will may come". GOD gave everyone the CHOICE - from the beginning of man (with Adam) Adam still had a choice - and he didn't choose very well at all.

So .. I disagree with the assumption that not choosing GOD is wrong - but it is stupid.

Why an atheist is troubled by someone telling him to go to hell is a mystery.

Does God have any rights under US law? I think the answer is no, and that may be why the ACLU has had many of its successes, both symbolic and substantial.

You can join the fight against the ACLU and their ilk by becoming involved with and supporting the following organizations:

American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) - http://www.aclj.org

The Rutherford Institute - http://www.rutherford.org/

Stop the ACLU Coalition - http://www.stoptheaclu.org

Here are a few examples of how two of those organizations are fighting back:

Ironic how the ACLU and the rest of the lefties disreguard what the Constitution does say in their quest to understand "the spirit" of the Constitution. They will disreguard the fact that the 1st Amendment ONLY forbids Congress from establishing a national religion. It says nothing about the other two branches of the federal government or the states themselves. The 10th Amendment states " The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." I take that to read that if a state wishes to create a state religion, it is free to do so. There is no language in the US Contitution prohibiting this right to the states. So, in effect, the schools are actual arms of state governments not the federal government, to the implied separation of church and state as argued by those on the left cannot apply to state public schools. Especially since Congress itself doesn't administrate the public schools in this country.

Activist judges have been tearing away at the liberties granted to the states and to the people year by year since Roe v. Wade. The ACLU in their zeal to free people to do what they want, when they want, to whom they want, without reprecussion, has ignored other rights granted. The Bill of Rights was intentially drafted in the fashion that they are for a spacific purpose. Each right granted in the bill of rights protect the others. When you start to tamper with those rights by looking for some hidden meanings, you start in infringe on the other rights that are expressly stated. Our judges need to quit applying implied meanings of the Constitution and other laws, and follow the texts as written. Thank you for the excellent post yoe.

Interesting. Is there any evidence that the founders opposed the establishment of an official religion at the state or local level?

America has freedom of religion, an official religion would have defeated the liberty of worshiping however one wants to. The founders were very careful about this. No. In answer to your question.
