Well first, it is the SF Chronicle, what did you expect?
Hopefully the hunger strike will become widespread enough to drive them all back to Mexico, where they belong.

She aught to thank the Minutemen for helping her lose all that blubber she is carrying around her hips and big fat derrier/behind. Some people just don't recognize when someone is doing them a favor. Oh Well!

As it applies to her, I'd say a hunger strike is long overdue. If the MM stay down there about six months, maybe she'll see her toes once again.

No doubt that repulsive corpulence, the cell phone, and the gimme-gimme-gimme attitude were all paid for with working folks' tax dollars.
I haven't been so pleased by a hunger strike since Bobby Sands checked out.

On the fourth night of her front yard hunger strike, Diana Ponce lay delirious under the carport, fighting off the chill under a fuzzy blanket emblazoned with the Mexican flag. Neighbors sat clustered around her on white plastic lawn chairs. Children smacked at a yellow volleyball in the street. Toddlers tricycled past fence-strung banners that read "Tenemos Que Unirnos" -- We have to unite.
More. . .

I got a question for anybody.
How do people this size, er... wipe?
Looks to me like those suet-laden Tyrannosaurus arms wouldn't reach. I have often wondered this while looking at the 400 lb. club. They usually have a distinctive aroma and I wonder if being unable to do the normal personal hygiene, as done by a non-morbidly-obese person is a factor.
You haven't lived till you've seen an air ambulance crew trying to stuff one of these 400 lb behemoths through the airstair door of a Lear 31. It's like trying to cram a marshmallow through a straw. Of course, your tax dollars are paying for the $3-4K an hour jet and crew, and the illness is usually diabetes, congestive heart failure, or something caused by the person's own poor character.
Somehow this lady seems to think her countrymen's unwillingness to obey the law should be our problem, and her way of proving it is to make her health our concern. Well, it ain't working at this address. Who cares if she dies? Not I, not a bit.

She looks pretty plump (she must have already had her anchor-babies and doesn't need to look so svelte anymore) - this may take awhile. Hey, any word on whether Michael Schiavo will be flying to Arizona to assist this woman with her sincere wish?
