To: risk

Kerry would have avoided the hand

then taken it

then let it go like a hot potato.

then taken it in a blushed hurry again.

Then dropped it.

By then, Abdullah would be thinking that Kerry was hinting at some other less kosher uses of the hand.

How so. I'm losing your point.

I hope you're not saying that Bush's kinesthetically sensitive, alert discrimmination skills and actions indicate homosexual feelings.

No. I hold my wife's hand...not for erotic reasons. I also hold my childrens' hands. I am not suggesting that Bush is a switchhitter.

Good.

I agree. We can enjoy holding lots of people we feel emotionally close to but not sexually attracted to.

Most of it is social conditioning. Some of it is personality.

In all fairness, the US will never have a more pro-US government in saudi arabia

The House of Saud achieved control of the peninsula in conjunction with Wahhabism. The Saud's swung the swords, and the Wahhabies reformed the conquered minds.

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah is Anti-American down to his bones, and his more reasonable wealthy kin are keeping him as a mere regent to the throne, just long enough for them to pocket the oil wealth, and hop on a private jet to America, as the Fundamentalist Mullahs Soldiers are dragging Abdullah through the streets of Riyadh.

His security forces are more loyal to religion than royalty. And they will refuse to be as ruthless to his enemies as will be required for his survival.

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah blames Israel for Paul Johnson's beheading: "Zionism is behind it. It has become clear now. It has become clear to us. I don't say, I mean... It is not 100 percent, but 95 percent that the Zionist hands are behind what happened." Talk about your classic case of denial and projection.

Saudi Crown Prince remarks blames Israel for terrorist murder of Paul Johnson
June 22, 2004

The Orthodox Union today condemned the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic remarks by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah blaming Israel for the execution in Saudi Arabia of American contractor Paul Johnson by Islamic terrorists.

In a statement, OU Executive Vice President Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb declared:

" Prince Abdullah's scandalous blaming of Israel for the terrorist murder of Paul Johnson is a shameful attempt to deflect onto Israel blame for the Saudis' own role in furthering radical Islamic terrorism both in Saudi Arabia and worldwide. Blaming Israel for Saudi failures is unacceptable and is a contradiction to any claim by the Saudis that they are confronting radical Islamic terrorism at its source - meaning, in Saudi Arabia itself.

" We call on Secretary of State Powell, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, and all world leaders of good conscience who have recently made resounding denunciations of anti-Semitism in world bodies, to denounce Prince Abdullahs's scurrilous remarks and to declare to him that Saudi Arabia will never free itself of the terrorism it spawned by falsely blaming Israel."

Actually, statistically,

it is likely the Texas Cowboys terrified of and averse to being physically healthily affectionate with their sons who end up insuring that the sons become homosexual desperately trying for some male connectedness, affirmation and bonding.

Thankfully, I've known a number of he-men cowboys who were very healthily affectionate with their sons. Their sons turned out quite fine and very healthily masculine.

I'm obviously not talking about family, but you (for whatever reason) are too emotionally wrapped up in the subject to see it.

I assumed such about you.

But it is a favorite topic of mine about which I have strong feelings.

I've seen far too many sons who had a lot of gifts be diverted from healthy masculinity by poor fathering. So, I guess I've become more than a little bit of a crusader about such things. Don't really mean to be shrill, though.

But, yeah, I spring board off all kinds of posts to preach.

It's the slobbery, booze laden, tobacco stained goon lips that get pretty awful, indeed.

Bush stopped drinking years ago. I don't know if he still smokes.

Golly… when our family gets together for holidays, weddings and funerals, or when I get together with old friends, males actually shake hands and hug one another. We must all be bad. /sarcasm

I assumed such about you.

You assumed that because I object to the U.S. President kissing a Saudi that I'm against fathers being affectionate with their sons? lol......That's just about the most baseless (and ridiculous) assumption I can imagine.

I spring board off all kinds of posts to preach.

Well get off your pulpit for once. People (like me) objecting to Bush kissing Abdullah has absolutely nothing to do with what you've been assuming. American (male) Presidents - aside from perhaps Jimmy Carter - simply don't kiss other (male) heads of state. ....regardless if it's the custom of the other party. It's downright anti-American, and especially offensive during at time when Americans are paying $3.00 at the pump and the other party is a Saudi who rules a nation full of Jihadists.

I assumed you were different toward family.

Somewhat agree and somewhat disagree about being cordial to the Saudi's. We are between a rock and a hard place with them.

The research is very clear.

I personally think that there are many thousands of homosexual men who could have been prevented from that horror by healthily affectionate fathering.

Not all stereotypes are that accurate nor that wonderful.

Sexuality is somewhat maleable. Associations with all kinds of strange things and practices take root in fertile soil.

Poor parenting results in increased vulnerability by a wide margin.

I'm not saying Bush shouldn't be cordial to the Saudis. The common criminals in the House of Saud are obviously far preferable to the alternative (Wahabbist nutballs), and it's best not to unnecessarily shake thing up. ...at this stage of the WOT, at least. But he should be cordial like Reagan was cordial -- shake their hands.
