I would suggest calling Frist's office and getting on his butt about what he is trying to do here, but I think that would be a waste of time.

Say goodbye to a GOP majority in 2006.

To-may-to/To-mah-to
Po-tay-to/Po-tah-to
Deal/Complete spineless Republican surrender

Just little differences in pronunciation.

"I've always said that we'd make sure the Senate went forward, but we're going to do it on our agenda, not their agenda," Reid said.

I'm so sick of this crap that I could just scream!!! Is there ANY WAY we can get a little backbone in the Republican Party?

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid is quietly talking to the Senate's chief Republican about confirming at least two of President Bush's blocked judicial nominees but only as part of a compromise that would require the GOP to end its threat to eliminate judicial filibusters, officials say.

Reid also wants a concession from Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, officials said speaking on condition of anonymity: the replacement of a third Michigan nominee with one approved by that state's two Democratic senators.
=======
If this is true, this is TOTAL BULL EXCREMENT. Since when does the Congressional majority have to negotiate with OBSTRUCTIONISTS? The GOP is in big trouble if Frist is doing this. Major trouble.

This is Bravo Sierra -- Karl Rove weighed in and said there was no deal in the making according to a news report this morning. Why are Freepers so quick to believe AP which is nothing more than an arm of the DemocRATs. AP used to be fair but that disappeared a long time ago.

I contacted Frist's office re: the Specter business. We all know how that turned out. All it got me was solicitations from Frist asking for $$$. I think I'll pass this time.

If Frist does this then there is the END of his presidential goals.

REID IS PLAYING FRIST LIKE A VIOLIN.

THE Republicans are playing the senate like it is some sort of Country Club social!!! They are loosing!

Frist has forgotten the goal, the goal is beyond judges, the goal is to destroy the democrat party PERMANENTLY!

disgust beyond words.

No Republicans are quoted in the article.

The Rats are floating a trial balloon via AP. I think the Rats are counting noses and getting nervous.

It seems to me that if the Republicans roll on a compromise, especially Janice Rogers Brown, Frist and the Republican senate will be gelded for the forseeable future as well.

What's he trying to do here?..... Seems it's the democrat senators talking about what they'd like to do. You don't see Sen. Frist talking about what compromises he'd like. It's all a publicity ploy by the democrats, imo.

"I've always said that we'd make sure the Senate went forward, but we're going to do it on our agenda, not their agenda," Reid said. "

What arrogance!

Frist! Stop this crap...you guys WON! Not them.

Let 'em stop the business of the Senate...it will be on their heads.

Jeez...get some freakin spines.

Note that you don't see one quote from Sen. Frist about any compromise. It's a PR effort by the democrats trying to bring public pressure to bear via the media, etc hoping above all hope that Sen. Frist doesn't follow through with the rule change.
