AIR AMERICA RADIO INVESTIGATED AFTER BUSH 'GUNSHOTS'

The red-hot rhetoric over Social Security on liberal talkradio network AIR AMERICA has caught the attention of the Secret Service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Government officials are reviewing a skit which aired on the network Monday evening -- a skit featuring an apparent gunshot warning to the president!

The announcer: "A spoiled child is telling us our Social Security isn't safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here's your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little bastard. [audio of gun being cocked]."

The audio production at the center of the controversy aired during opening minutes of The Randi Rhodes Show.

"What is with all the killing?" Rhodes said, laughing, after the clip aired.

"Even joking about shooting the president is a crime, let alone doing it on national radio... we are taking this very seriously," a government source explained.

They are so desperate for ratings they are sinking to any publicity stunt that will gain them exposure. Very sad! Somebody needs to be locked up for this trash.

While this is pretty disturbing, I'm not all that worried for Bush's safety. I think the Secret Service is more than a match for a few left wing Air America nutjobs.

What does concern me, however, are the (seemingly increasing) attacks on conservatives (e.g. Ann Coulter, Pat Buchanan) by deranged liberals. They don't enjoy Secret Service protection, which means that there is more danger to the conservative target, and even to the deranged lefty attackers (from the conservative speakers' bodyguards).

As my mother would say, if they don't stop this, somebody is going to have an eye put out.

Its not the fact that it's left wing radio that makes it so bad...it's the fact that the hosts are so darn awful!

I actually thought the hosts on AA were better than my local conservative AM talk host, but that's not saying much. I switched him on yesterday for the drive home and heard, for the third time this week, "...government is out of control...". The guy is just intellectually lazy.
