They are, for you. Socialism is an inherently evil belief system and as they lose ground the facade slips to reveal their true selves. They actually intend to rule wisely (according to their perverted concept of "fair"), but they intend to rule.
You may have noticed, the "peace" protestors have resorted to punching, shoving, and food throwing.
As their frustration grows, their antipathy towards guns recedes. The second amendment is starting to look better and better to these frustrated losers.
They don't trust themselves with a gun that is why they don't trust others.
You have to put yourself in their shoes if you can, their fear and hate is often to much for them to deal with. Imagine someone with bottled up fear and hate with a gun, it isn't a pretty site.
