Factory worker convicted in slaying of Orange County five-year-old
(AP-Santa Ana, CA, April 28, 2005, 7:25 p.m.)
A jury convicted a factory worker Thursday of kidnapping and killing five-year-old Samantha Runnion, an Orange County girl whose 2002 death prompted a massive public outcry.
After deliberating for less than nine hours over two days, jurors convicted Alejandro Avila, 30, of kidnapping, murder and sexual assault. In the upcoming penalty phase, the jury will decide whether to recommend a death sentence or life in prison without parole.

Good, I hope they sentence him to death. Although, I expect his real punishment will come after his death on earth. He has a pretty solid reservation at the Eternal Lake of Burning Fire Resort.

I hope this subhuman gets the death sentence. Anyone who commits this kind of act is not human, and will always be a danger even if given life. He might kill a fellow prisoner or guard, escape, or have some perverted governor pardon him. (Terri Schiavo couldn't be pardoned because she had not harmed anyone - what a country we've become.)

Although, I expect his real punishment will come after his death on earth. I think his fellow prisoners will give him a good taste of what is to follow in Hell. Child rapist/murderers do not live long in California prisons.....

you know, to hell with this guy, but I got issues at the way this writer has it as being a factory worker is naturally a bad thing

That's because there is some "justice" on earth.
Every time I look at one of the pictures of the innocent kids, I can't even describe the rage I feel for the vermin who did it.

I heard somehwere that he ended up in this country because his father was an illegal immigrant. The father apparently killed or tried to kill someone here.

I heard it on the news. A precious flower is lost. How the parents can cope, I have no idea.

If that is true, it should serve as a model for our border control. The father couldn't follow the law to enter the country, and who knows what else, why would his son be any different?

All I know is that little Samantha was not his first victim. He should've been locked up long ago.
