Iran issues nuclear warning to US
BBC News ^ | 5/1/05 | Frances Harrison

The spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has warned the United States to stay out of his country's nuclear programme.

Speaking on a tour of south-east Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said the US was arrogant, rude and deserved a punch in the mouth.

He also said Iran's presidential elections in June would not make any difference to its nuclear policy.

The US has expressed fears Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons.

Enrichment warning

Ayatollah Khamenei said it was not up to the US to decide which countries needed nuclear technology.

He also warned that Iran's forthcoming presidential elections were nothing to do with the Americans.

No president would dare violate the country's national interests because the people would not allow it, he said.

His comments came as Iran warned on Saturday it might resume suspended enrichment-related activities next week in defiance of an agreement that is underpinning nuclear talks with Europe.

Iran is concerned that negotiations are dragging on too long and has proposed a phased resumption of its nuclear activities.

U.S. liberals will stand back till something happens.
It's either you did not prevent an attack, or you launched a pre-emptive strike, it does not make a difference.
There will be congressional hearings chaired or better steered by Democrats.
Guilt, it's proven without doubt, you failed by either:
1) Too hasty in defending the country with strikes disguised as preemptive defense.
Or:
2) Hesitating in spite of certain intelligence by allowing an attack on this country.
Conclusion of Democrat steered congressional hearings: Neglect.

Does any one here really think that America has the stomach for an exchange of even a single nuclear device?

How is your fallout shelter holding up, tovarisch?

"Political Science". I love that song.

Randy Newman's satire has aged well.

"How is your fallout shelter holding up, tovarisch?"

It's kinda of small, with all the rations and the armory vault and all. Gotta get the ham radio setup though.

Guns before butter.

What is with all this flack over Japan lately? I was watching a show on the history channel (liberal liars tool)regarding Einstein and not once did they mention Japan provoking us to bomb them? Not once was Pearl Harbor mentioned. It really ticked me off, again the are rewriting history. I wonder how long it will be before we apologize for committing that atrocity /sarcasm

The time to act is all too short -- it would have been better in my opinion to act earlier, but let that pass -- the important thing is that we act and the sooner the better.

This dillydallying while we let the Europeans try to find another Munich with these madmen is unwise in my opinion.

A lot of people may think that the American public will not be supportive of a war against Iran, but I don't agree. I think that many Americans will always view the 1979-1981 hostage crisis as one of the most humiliating events in American history, and in the eyes of most Americans NOTHING has ever been done to pay back Iran for that.

However, I think that all of this may soon become a moot point. I believe that Israel is probably a lot closer to taking out Iran's nuclear capabilities than we realize. The Israelis know that they are the ones who have the most to fear if the Islamofascists get nukes and they aren't going to sit there quietly and do nothing.

Plus we need to remember that Bush doesn't govern by opinion polls, he does what he knows is right, and if we nuked Tehran it wouldn't matter how upset the leftists were, it would be too late.

Indeed it has. I think it is a perfect song for the times. To those who haven't heard...they should. It's a gas.

Remember, that virtually half of the country voted for a lying, traitorous, opportunist, cowardly and worthless sack of shit.

That was 1992.

Probably fewer children than were under those planes that flew into the World Trade Center or the Pentagon. Nearly the same number of children as those who have been within a mile of a suicide bomber. And?

See, that's a great mentality - oh, yes, let's not do anything, because we might hurt someone innocent. Right - we've learned what happens with those types of rules; the innocent suffer while the guilty continue to hide behind the 'innocent.' Stuff that; if their country declares war upon us (done innumerable times by Iran so far) then it is the duty of the non combatants and their families to get the heck out of the way.

I'll feel some regret over the bombings of Dresden or Nagasaki - mostly because they were forced to bring reality back to the equation. But if you're telling me that those events should never have occurred because there were children present - well, bull. The Iranians fund terrorists and semi-military groups that don't give a rat's about if someone is innocent or not. The civilian population is in the middle, and if there is any question, just go take a stroll over to Beslan and ask the families there if children aren't already targets by these death cults.

If Iran wants to persist in funding terrorism, offering such flowery prose as what can be found on their official websites, etc, then no, I don't care how many children might be living within a hundred miles of these locations.

Maybe it might just be what is needed to get parents of Persian children to stand up and say 'enough of this madness, go sit in a cell like Saddam.' The Lebanese figured that out, and Syria's forces are now on their side of the border.

Probably the same amount of little American children. But, we aren't saber rattlin' they are threatening. Ours would be in retaliation. Totally different.

If the Great Satan interferes with Iran's nuclear program the streets of America's cities will run red with blood.

Mainly because if we wipe out Iran we'll end up using Koreans for cabbies.

The terrorists came to kill tens of thousands of Americans on 911. Because of their inbred stupidity, they managed to kill just under 3,500. We will never know for sure how many. But you don't hear much about the real scale of cold blooded murder they had planned for us.

Had the terrorist had their way on 911, they would have knocked those buildings down, with everyone inside them, on top of streets full of thousands of pedestrians. They would have also destroyed the Capital building and the Whitehouse. They would have killed tens of thousands of innocent American civilians.

These Islamic savages are dead serious. They've made that perfectly clear. We should be dead serious in our dealings with them.
