Hillary is definitely stiffer than Kerry but you may never know it once the MSM gest done protecting hercandidacy. As it is she is almost never allowed to be in any open forum where she might stumble. If she runs she will be the cadidate who has quotes on everything. it is just that you will never actually see her in open public forums. Thew quotes will be placed in the media from all her helpers and enablers.You are definitely right. They will definitely do that.
The question is, will that work in a presidential election. It might, given the utter spinelessness and total lack-of-imagination of the average Republican campaign (and I say that as a loyal conservative Republican voter).
But if the Republicans grow even a 1-inch spine they will be able to make the media-coverup of Hitlery a campaign issue of immense proportions, and force her out in the open, where she'll cackle like a hen on a hot tin roof... and there won't be anything her handlers or the fawning, heart-palpating MSM will be able to do about it.

Unfortunate but true. Hillary can win if she sets the agenda - that broad brush of 'fear','religous extremism', and other words that set the tone AND if the Republicans put up a non-contestant like Dole again. No, I am hoping we get someone capable of articulating conservative TRUTH; window dressing won't cut it. Along with defense 'sense', gun rights, immigration reform, tax policy, and abortion law will be the primary factors in making the ideas work.
Defeating her in '06 is a great idea (though I agree that the GOP candidates don't look very strong at the moment), but it needs to be a political destruction that can't rise from the dead for a run in '08, not a mere defeat.
There is one other factor not yet considered, and that is the internal problems the Democrats will face as they argue with each other on why they lost again in '06. DCC Chariman Howard Dean may be the best secret weapon against the Clintons that we have....
