An illegal Mexican....with (gasp) a prior criminal conviction --- but I cannot find what this prior conviction was, murders an American citizen
just doing the crime Americans don't want to do
He Committed Murder, doesn't Utah have the death penalty?
Free-trade, open borders bump!!!
I don't even understand the sentence. 5 years for killing someone? In cold blood?
Wow. Human life is not worth much these days.

This story is an example of why you should never name your child after Jesus Christ.
An illegal Mexican killed his boss....a licensed contrator of the State of Utah.
WHY DID HE HIRE AN ILLEGAL? Not that I think that should have gotten him the death penalty. When are we going to realize that the people that hire illegals are at least 1/2 responsible for them being here.
Thats what I was thinking, and if they still did the firing squad deal...
This guy is a killer plain and simple, the story tries to warm and fuzzy him up with adding the killers wife's comments to it...
He should take a bullet or ride the lightning...this only goes to show there are no real deterents to major crimes anymore...
Could we send the Mexican government the bill for his
incarceration? (Fat chance!)
Five years to life? What the hell is going on. Murderer and might get off in 5 years. Shi@, why we don't let murders off after their trial. Why wait. This is the most stupid thing I ever heard. Don't they shot murders in Utah. Thats right now it's lethal injection. 5 YEARS?

And, if criminal alien lovers can get their wishes put into law, the US authorities would not be able to stop or arrest him (racial profiling, don't ya know) until AFTER he kills another gringo and the Mexican consulate is informed. Presidente and Mrs. Fox really do hate to lose a worker who sends lots of dollars home to the desolation of Mexico.
He'll be deported so he can come back in, commit another heinous crime then get a slap on the wrist as he did this time. What kind of judge sentences someone to a minimum of 5 years for murder?
It's simple! The guy is an illegal alien! They have special rights which are superior to those of citizens! They are not punished at all for coming here illegally and the get a pass on identity theft, tax fraud and breaking our employment laws too. It only makes sense that they would get a slap on the wrist for murder.
This employer was engaged in lawless behavior and that can have bad consequences. I have sympathy for his family but I just can't muster much for him.
Could that 5 years be a typo? Or is it another perk for illegal aliens?
Life is sure cheap in Utah! How about executing the perp so he won't do it again!
The Mexican regime flatly refuses to extradite Mexican nationals who commit murder unless states agree to a) no death penalty; and b) no life sentences. In addition, Mexican consulates in various states, their accomplices in the Bush administration, state and local agencies, the usual leftist agitators, race hustlers, immigration lawyers, et al (the treason lobby) have also worked hard to ensure that light sentences are given to Mexican murderers who are caught inside the US as well - especially for a rank and file murder like the one described here.
The way things are going, Mexicans will have a de-facto carte blanche to murder Americans at will. But, we must always remember that "family values don't end at the Rio Grande" - including Gambino family values, MS-13 family values, etc.
When I saw 5 years for murder, my first thought was that he must be a Mormon. I then reproached myself for having the thought. But, reading the story, he was. So perhaps my first inclination as to the reason for the sentence was correct.
