There is also another book out by Weinberger called "The Next War" and they claim it will be with Mexico. Book has been out for a while.

Maybe, but the outcome will be a little different than the Mexican government expects. Mexico will lose and her many states will be added to the US 50 states. The Mexican emmigrants don't want to go back to Mexico under it's current government, but they would if Washington was the federal government.

And in another generation or so if we don't close the borders and turn these people back we may be fighting another Civil War in this country if we want to hold onto much of the Southwest and California.

La Raza, and all it's supporters should be rounded up and imprisoned on grounds of sedition.

I believe some states did retain the right to secede. I believe Texas is one of them. Rhode Island is another, I believe.

However, the likelihood of doing that is foolish.

No sooner would California secede (if that's their plan) and "America" backs out of it then some foreign power would come in and take it over in a matter of weeks. Not to mention, if they weren't taken over by another nation, a prohibition of trade with them with all the bordering states would ruin them economically in no time.

It's one of those rights that don't really exist in the practical world.

The Anasazi in the southwest simply vanished as a people. A lot of myths have arisen about their fate. Personally, I suspect they were taken captive by the Aztecs and offered up as sacrificial fodder to their demonic gods.

You obviously have a major attitude problem, probably stems from a justifiably poor self-image. Take a cold shower and cool off your hot head.

For more information about Mecha/Mexa/LaRaza/MALDEF... Please CLICK the link.. (Mecha is about 1/2 way down.. this was invented in San Barbara, CA... )

So with the encouragement of the U.S. government and with the financial support of major U.S. corporations and foundations, LULAC, MALDEF, MEChA/MEXA, and La Raza, pillars of the radical ''Hispanic'' lobby, successfully and aggressively promote hatred of the history, identity, culture, language, and laws of the United States.

We might want to consider that idea. Mexico obviously cannot manage it's own affairs.

True. And I think breaking-away the southwest to Mexico is a pipedream; things will never go that far. Even if CA, AZ, NM, CO, UT were completely overrun by Mexicans, there's too much benefit to remaining part of the US.

Just so that you know, the tidbit about the Texas flag flying at an equal height to the American Flag is also in correct. I'll try to find a link to back this up. I had this discussion with a coworker and was proven wrong! That used up one of my 2 mistakes alloted each year.

The possiblity of us fighting appears rather minute from where I'm sitting since the current "conservative" administration is on their side...<<<

I hardly think the current administration could stop WE THE PEOPLE from fighting to keep the Country we own. After all, it is OUR COUNTRY and "King Bush" does not tell those who elected him what they will and will not do to keep this Country free from tyranny!

A Zogby poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agreed with the statement.

OK, now lets see a poll of how many Hispanic Americans want to be part of Mexico. Probably 2%. Those born here have fought and died to protect this country going all the way back to the Alamo. Those who migrated here know better than anyone why they left that miserable country.

From what I read, any state could divide into muliple states provided it was approved by Congress and the State legislatures.

The provision is already included in the Constitution.

"Arcticle IV:

Section 3. New states may be admitted by the Congress into this union; but no new states shall be formed or erected within the jurisdiction of any other state; nor any state be formed by the junction of two or more states, or parts of states, without the consent of the legislatures of the states concerned as well as of the Congress."

it would last about an hour if the U.S. armed forces fought them….

Maybe even less, if those of us who live in the region were to take up arms and help out!

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

"which gave large parts of Mexico to the U.S"

Why do the media insist that the US took, or was given, the "territories" from/by Mexico ?
The US Govt paid Mexico $15 million in the deal.
Likewise the US Govt paid France $15 million for the Louisiana Purchase, and $7 million to Russia for Alaska.

Mexico's rationale is like -- I demand the house back that I sold 30 years ago for $15,000 cause today it's worth $1,200,000.

Get over it Mexico. Your 200 years late. Escrow's CLOSED.

I prefer to believe that Angelina Jolie secretly lusts after me but that doesn't make it so.

Does it Angie?

split itself into 3 smaller states

IIRC, Texas can divide itself into five separate states when the population warrants it.
