Heard a rumor over the weekend from someone in a philosophical study group that studies occult and paranormal phenomena that a kabbalistic curse (a hex) (cast in ancient Hebrew) had been placed on the Yankees. Curiously, this was before the sweep. Strange times. After hearing that BEFORE this latest tantrum, the outburst struck me as quite odd. Uncanny.

I wonder how much the new steroid rules have to do with this.

How about them Brewers... wait ,I mean Browns...err I mean Orioles !!!

The Yankees better get their act together, this division looks mighty tough this year. Could be over pretty quick if they don`t improve their game. The American League East just isn`t the same without the Sox and Yanks going at it at the top of the standings.

Go Cardinals !!

You know what's great? How even though the Red Sox won the World Series, their fans' No. 1 obsession is not their third-place team, but how the New York Yankees are doing. It's downright hilarious!

The CURSE of HILLARY beats the CURSE of the BAMBINO.

Ever since PIAPS became the #1 YANKEE fan, the NY team has lost big time.

The only way for the YANKEES to get back to the top is for NY to throw out the #1 YANKEE fan, PIAPS herself.

My Rangers sucked when A-Rod ran the clubhouse. Now the Yankees suck with A-Rod in the clubhouse. See a pattern here?

Actually no, considering that the Yankees haven't won it all since 2000, three years before A-Rod joined the team, and that A-Rod was on several division-winning Seattle teams (including one that beat the Yanks in 1995.) And if you actually watched some Yankee games this year, you would see that A-Rod is one of the few Yankee players who's been doing well. In fact, if it weren't for Alex, the team would have sunk into last place a lot quicker. It's just astonishing to me that people would blame the Yankees' season on a player who's batting over .300, with a league-leading 10 homers and 28 RBI. If you want to blame a former Ranger for helping the Yankees tank this year, the 0-4 Kevin Brown with the 8.25 ERA would be a better place to start.

I probably has more to do with just an aging pitching staff.

Right now playing against the Yankees is the cure for what ails you. What will cure the Yanks? Right now, no one knows.

My boss is a Yankee fan like the Empire State building is part of the NYC skyline. Think we'll talk football when I pick him up this morning...

Don't forget that the Mariners won 116 games the year after he left them as well.

"See a pattern here?"

No... there is no pattern. That's way off base.

The Yankees have a team ERA of 5.16, which is 2nd worst in the AL.

Their team batting average is .272. A-Rod is batting .300, which is .028 above the team average. The Yanks are just 4 runs from being tied for most runs scored in the AL, and their team batting average tied them for 6th place.

Do a little research and find another place to lay the blame.
