Actually, you are supposed to dress modestly, be humble when receiving communion, not use it as an opportunity to stage a protest. The whole act of communion is lost on those people, it does them no good at all.

Its amazing to me that someone could wear a giant "I am a big fat sinner, and will continue to be" sash to church, much less communion!
its a giant insult to the church.
in effect telling the church to accept my sin as...not a sin.
