There is not a judge on any federal court who can not be called in front of the senate and removed from the bench by a simple majority vote of the Senate.
The politicians won't do their job and remove these judges for their crazy decisions because they want the judges to make these hot button social decisions so they don't have to take a stand and lose some votes.
they can then just point their fingers at the judges and blame them when the heat is turned up.
It doesn't bother the judges because they don't answer to the public and they get the power to make law to suit their whims. It's a win win for the politic ans and the judges and a lose lose for the American people.
If they would just impeach about a half a dozen of these liberal wackos you would see a remarkable bit of sanity return to the federal bench.

Thanks for an informative article. The only judge on the 11th Circuit who got it from the beginning - the first time around - was the Clinton appointee.
I've also heard that Gibbs, the Schindler's attorney didn't do a good job with his filing. That maybe the case. I'm not sure. However, it seems that the Clinton appointee undersood what congress requested inspite of Gibbs, the first time around.

Judge Charles Wilson is a judge who appears to be fair minded and isn't on a power trip. He understands the legislative powers of congress and the concept of Due Process, imo. Greer reduced Terri to no more than the property of a monster husband, who could dispose of her like an old shoe. No wonder a probate judge ruled on Terri's life or death.
It takes 2/3rds to remove. That makes sense too, thinking in the context of appointments. A judge can be appointed by a simple majority advise & consent. But if Congress sees that its will is being subverted by a judge, a supermajority can remedy a past error of Congressional judgement.

When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present. The exact location of Terri's ashes is "not buried."
Her remains can stay in that exact location forever, and "not buried" plus "no plan to inter them" plus "no plan for a memorial service" is in full conformity with Greer's order.
If Greer wanted Terri's remains to be buried, he could have ordered that. I don't believe Greer ordered or would order burial. I believe he ordered Schiavo to disclose burial and memorial service plans. If Schiavo has no burial or memorial service plans, he has nothing to disclose.

Not at all, "conservative" and "Republican" appointees also voted to kill poor Terri. The "conservatives" are apparently not that "conservative" any more either.
The actual 'burial' location offered to MS by his aunt and uncle isn't known for the reason it would become a shrine for the pro-life movement who witnessed Terri's murder as the most insidious and barbaric judicial decree in the history of our country.

It is the trial that takes place in the Senate and a two thirds of those present to convict.
Some if impeached by the House resign to avoid trial in the Senate.

Dean is definately a scumbag and worse. He's very pro killing of Terri. There's alot of demos who were against what happened to Terri. Dean might very well be in for a big surprise if he keeps using the fact that some Republicans tried to save Terri.
Dean is a fool if doesn't realize there are conservative democrats who think killing an innocent disabled person, is nothing but evil and an outrage. What happened to Terri isn't a partisan thing. It crosses party lines. I know a demo who wants to change parties and become a Republican over her party's attitude about Terri.
