I'm torn between the idiocy of it and the businesses' right to execute policy as they see fit.
If I had an employee and they decided to carry around another chef's business cards, I'd be a bit put out, to say the least. I can certainly understand their point of view.
As far as company loyalty goes, if the 9-year guy isn't driving a company-made vehicle, what does that say?
It says that the company isn't making a vehicle that suits the employee's tastes and needs; or that the price is too high.
Either way, the company shouldn't penalize people for purchasing something.
Kinda reminds me of the Soviet Union, where you were only allowed to buy Soviet goods. If you had the opportunity to buy US goods, you would be 'punished' if you were found out.
But then, what else can you expect from a company in thrall to it's union?
Union = Communism
