My uncle had a little Cessna of some sort. I recall that it cruised along at 90 knots or so. Can a F-16 parallel a plane at 90 knots?

Another uncle was a fighter pilot in the Navy. I understand that their planes are heavier than normal due to beefy suspension and stuff for carrier landings, but recall that they’d pretty much fly like a brick at 90 knots. That’s the impression I got anyway.

Shortly after 9/11, I saw an F-16 (or soemthing similar) escorting a small private plane right over my house. The jet seemed to have the ability to almost stall in place (reverse thrust?) as it monitored the prop plane.
