If the company you work for (say Walgreens) requires you to dispense medicine you object to, maybe you shouldn't work there.

Walgreens and CVS have policies that give the Pharmacist discretion.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Well if the pharmacist is acting on his beliefs within the scope of his employment contract...good for him. I guess the patient can always shop around.

Discretion to not fill the script themselves, not discretion to lecture the customer. The Walgreens policy is to find another pharmacist, either at their own store or another. THAT'S where this pharmacist went wrong.
