I remember in the '80's, reading about protesters at UC Berkeley shouting "Hey hey, ho ho, Western Civ has got to go..." I remember wondering "what will be the long-term implications of this?" I guess I have my answer; I wonder if the malcontents who were doing the shouting had aggressive militant Islam in mind. Probably they were clueless.

I have to hand it to the Islamos, though. The way they are exploiting the non-judgemental, non-normative, diversity-worshipping zeitgeist of the west is elegant. In the same way as the design of a python's jaw is elegant.

If anything, too many Europeans seem almost apologetic about and embarassed by their predominantly Judeo-Christian European roots. And far to willing to bend over backwards to 'accomodate' (read - acquiese to) the demands (that's right, not requests, but demands!) of the steady stream of non-Christian, non-European immigrants who hate everything about their new homeland and wish it to change. And the French seem happy about that. I've said it before, just how happy will the French be when their new countrymen 'demand' the dismantling of vineyards, removal of pork products, the covering of beautiful art and the changes in fashion to cover women's bodies? And the 'conversion' of the Cathedrals. The French need to wake up and smell the coffee and stop jailing those who dare comment on the negative changes, like Brigitte Bardot, if they have any appreciation for their culture and lifestyle, before it is snatched away from them.
