Anyone know if the constitutional option will apply for all presidential nominees or just judicial nominees? With the Dem's looking to maybe filibuster Bolton too, I think Frist should declare any filibuster on a presidential nominee as against the rules if he isn't going to already. After all, the clause in the constitution that we we refer to to back up our claim that filibustering judicial nominees is unconstiutioonal doesn't just talk about judicial nominees, but any presidential nominee!!!
According to Frist, it will apply to Supreme Court nominees and federal appellate court nominees only. It will not apply to federal district court nominees which represent the lowest level of the federal judiciary. Frist said they're not trying to do it for district judges because no one has ever filibustered them before. They're only trying to kill the filibustering of federal judges who hear appeals.
What difference does it make, the dims throw up a threat and the pubs run like heck with their tails tucked beneath their bodies.
